We invite you, our supporters and friends, to continue sharing your thoughts and comments with us and encourage you to post information you read or hear that relates to the critical concerns of ARISE. We hope to hear from you soon.
AMBASSADORS: Find other ARISE Ambassadors in your area. Share ideas and what you are doing in your hometowns to increase the Network of ARISE Ambassadors. You can also share any thoughts and prayers you have for ARISE and your friends in the colonia community. Remember being an ARISE Ambassador is simple, talk to your friends, families, and organizations about your experience in ARISE here in South Texas. Help us to educate the rest of the country about the realities of living in colonia communities along the Southern Texas/Mexico Border.

To all our Summer volunteers Mil Gracias! (athousand thanks) You touch our lifes in a special way and give us strength to continue moving forward. Please share with others the good and wonderful things that are happening in our ARISE communites.
We will always have challenges and barriers these are found every where. The important thing is to not stay focus on the problem but to see tha possibilities of overcoming them and learning from them and allowing the diffult times to make us even better. Once again thank you and God Bless you. We hope to see you next summer! |

As a sophomore at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota in 2005, I spent a week volunteering at the ARISE Muniz location. It was a wonderful experience working with this great organization and made a huge impact on me. Five years later, I'm currently interviewing for a postion with the Peace Corps Teach for America and I'm so thankful I can draw on my experiences from ARISE and remind me of my passion of helping and empowering others. |
