Colonia residents attended a forum with city officials regarding hurricane relief funds that are being distributed in the RGV.  Three years have passed since the devastating Hurricane Dolly, but every rain brings problems for many colonia residents.  Many of the homes are still partially damaged, drainage in these areas is still not sufficient, and residents want to be assured that some of these funds will be used to repair damaged structures and build a better drainage system in their areas.
